Four Wichita men arrested on Tuesday for attempting to pass fake money orders were in court Wednesday morning charged with 15-counts of forgery, and two counts of making a false writing.

38-year-old Tyron Williams, 35-year-old Raskia Colbert, 20-year-old Khiree Atkinson and 41-year-old Marcus I. Sain made an appearance via-video from the Reno County Jail on the charges.

They were apparently arrested when they attempted to pass the fake money orders at the Dillon’s store at 30th & Plum. The four men involved are apparently students at Wichita Technical Institute according to information released in court.

Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen agreed to lower the bond for Colbert from 64-thousand, 500-dollars to 45-thousand, while Atkinson’s was dropped from 60-thousand to 35-thousand dollars, and Williams bond stayed at 60-thousand. Sain’s bond also stayed the same at 63-thousand.

All four will be back in court on November 23, for a status hearing, unless the state files charges sooner.
