SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A miscalculation in the time it will take to finish the Frank Hart Crossing over the Arkansas River means the span won’t reopen for another two months.

Originally, Reno County Public Works announced the bridge renovation would be completed by Sept. 2.

On Tuesday, Public Works announced that the construction time was calculated in calendar days and not actual working days. With the new numbers, the bridge won’t be open until Oct. 20.
