Freddie Ray Riney, 68, died April 3, 2017, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 7, 1949, in Nashville, KS, the son of Charles A. and Pauline Rule (Thompson) Riney. Freddie served in the United States Army.
He worked for Kuhn Krause Plow Corp. for over 20 years. Freddie retired in 2007, as a tool and dye maker.
On June 1, 1974, Freddie married Deanna Lou Watkins in Kingman. She survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Debbi Nachtigal and husband Chad of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Tarryn Riney and wife Rita, Reece Marshall, and Josh Nachtigal, all of Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Remington Riney, Payton and Xyla Nachtigal; twin sister, Claudia Owens of Kingman; sister, Paula Beale of Hutchinson; brothers, Richard Riney and wife Deana of Hutchinson, Chuck Riney of Livingston, LA; brother-in-law, Wes Watkins and wife Joleen of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews. Freddie was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Thurston presiding. Military honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kansas Humane Society or Kansas Wildlife and Parks, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
