
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — We now have a funeral date for the Hutchinson man killed in Arizona after being shot by a federal officer that occurred on Jan. 5.
The funeral for Tyler Miller will be ay 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Crosspoint Church in Hutchinson and burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park.
Miller was killed on Arizona State Route 89A, north of the town of Sedona.
A Forest Service Officer stopped to render assistance after a traffic accident. An altercation occurred between the officer and Miller.
Miller was shot by the officer, transferred to a medical center and later declared deceased. The law enforcement officer was also injured during the altercation and was treated on scene.
The attorney for Miller said his client had been traveling to a spiritual retreat.
Miller was the owner of TNT bonding and a number of other businesses in the area. He was also a CPA.
