HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas gas price average dropped pennies on the week but remained lower than a year ago.

Today’s average is $2.11, four cents less than last week, 13 cents less than a year ago.

Hutchinson rates are still well below the state and national average with the lowest price at $2.02 at Murphy’s USA, which is located on the Walmart parking lot, and the Central Prairie Coop. The price at most other locations in the city is at $2.04, according to gasbuddy.com.

National gas prices have fallen for 11 of the past 12 days, reaching today’s average of $2.18 per gallon, according to Triple A.
