HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The public is invited to a free lecture by former Google VP of Engineering Brian McClendon this Sunday in the lobby of the Cosmosphere at 5 p.m.

From leading the computer graphics team that developed special effects for the mega-hit Jurassic Park, to leading the teams that developed Google Maps, Street View and more, to the design of better mapping and driver/riding matching for rideshare and driverless vehicles, McClendon’s career has been a tribute to Kansas STEM education.

This Ted-style talk is free and open to the public.
