TOPEKA – Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced Wednesday, the appointment of McPherson attorney John Klenda for judge for the 9th Judicial District which is McPherson and Harvey Counties. Klenda will replace Judge Carl Anderson.

“John has been a wonderful asset to the McPherson community for many years,” Gov. Brownback said. “He has a good combination of criminal and civil litigation experience and will serve the bench well.”

John Klenda is a partner of Karstetter and Klenda, LLC., serves as the McPherson City Prosecutor and the McPherson County Counselor. He received his Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law after completing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University.
