HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Work is under way at Gowan’s Stadium as crews have started the process of replacing the playing surface.

The HCC Board of trustees recently approved the project which will cost just under $700,000. The work includes removing the old turf, replacing the base surface, replacing the drainage around the field and new artificial turf.

The project is expected to be completed by March 1.
