We’ve seen this scam before and apparently the scam artist are trying to strike again.

Harvey County Sheriff officials says they’ve had three people come into their office this week reporting the scam where they get calls stating that charges have been filed on them for “fraud” through the county.

In some cases, they’re threatened they will be arrested by the Sheriff if they don’t pay the legal fees and fine. Some of the legal fee and fine totals over 3-thousand dollars.

They say they don’t be fooled by how good the callers are. Do not send out any money to them and if this has happened to you, it doesn’t hurt to report it.
