HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees met the student leadership of HCC to start the October board meeting Thursday evening.

The board was introduced to the Hutchinson Community College Student Government Association (SGA) officer team as part of its monthly board meeting. The SGA group, comprised of Hutch CC students from all areas of the college, provides the student leadership for the college, assisting with a variety of events and providing student input to various boards and committees, including the Board of Trustees and the Representative Assembly. Megan Bartley of Partridge serves as SGA President. The SGA advisor is Christina Long, College Registrar.

In addition, the board approved the purchase of two properties, one north of campus and the other west, both adjacent to current property owned by the College.

The next meeting of the board will be on Thursday, November 12. The meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend.
