HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Enrollment for Hutchinson Community College increased by 334 students according to figures released by the state Monday afternoon.

Enrollment for HCC for the fall semester total 5,880 students. That is the fourth highest in the state. Johnson Community College is well out in front as usual with more than 19,000 students. Butler Community College is second with 9,375 students between their two campuses.

Barton is just ahead of HCC in third with 5,884 students, although a majority of them are on the army base at Ft Riley. Barton enrollment actually fell by nearly 400 students. Overall community colleges enrollment increased by just 95 students to 72,694.

Of the 5,880 students at HCC about 30% are online students.
