HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Fresh off two victories in Oklahoma to start the 2016 season, the Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team will open the home portion of the schedule on Friday in a non-league match up against the Cowley Tigers.

With the new West-East split of the Jayhawk Conference in women’s soccer, the Blue Dragon/Tiger matchup will not have conference connotations this year. Hutchinson in is the Jayhawk West, while Cowley resides in the Jayhawk East.

The Blue Dragons – HCC is receiving votes in the NJCAA preseason Division I rankings – are 2-0 heading into their 2016 home opener on Friday.

The match gets under way at 5 p.m.
