HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College has confirmed that the NJCAA is investigating its women’s basketball program for possible violations.

HCC Sports Information Director Steve Carpenter confirmed that they were notified of the investigation last week. Carpenter said that the school is cooperating fully with the investigation and has turned over all information requested by the NJCAA. A finding could come as early as next month.

The Blue Dragons have been one of the most successful programs in the NJCAA over the past several years under coach John Ontjes finishing 2nd, 3rd and 2nd in the National Tournament over the past three seasons. The Dragons were 36-1 this season.
