A vigorous low pressure area aloft will move southeast across central Kansas later today and early tonight. A round of strong to severe storms is expected late this afternoon and evening, mainly west of a Salina to Wichita to South Haven line. While large hail and damaging winds are the main risks, locally heavy rainfall may also aggravate or cause more low-land flooding across the area.
