DERBY, Kan. — The HHS girls tennis team came up against tough competition in the AVCTL meet Monday in Derby.

The Hawks finished in 5th place in the seven team meet with Salina South taking the team title with 43 points. Central was next withy 40. Derby was third followed by Maize and then Hutch. Campus and Newton rounded out the field.

Reagan Wessel lead the way for the Hawks  in singles with a 5th place finish. Sydney Foster finished in 9th.

In doubles Bailey Moeder and Kim Reiser ended the day in 10th place, with the number two doubles team of Lauren Ollenburger and Chloe Foster in 12th.
