WASHINGTON – Every Member of Congress has the opportunity to nominate outstanding young men and women to attend the nation’s military service academies.

Following in-person interviews with candidates and evaluation by a board of Kansans, Congressman Tim Huelskamp announced Thursday that he would recommend Daniel Yapp of Hutchinson to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Yapp currently attends Hutchinson High School and is the son of Mark and Patricia Yapp.
