Reno County has a new director of the health department. Julia Hulsey was named as the replacement for Judy Seltzer who will step down from her position some time this spring.

Hulsey says she doesn’t have any concrete plans for making any changes to the current system, but says she wants to be up to speed more on the environmental matters that are a part of the health department.

No firm date of when Hulsey will assume her new duties. She has been with the health department for the past five years moving back to Hutchinson from Washington State. She will be paid an annual salary of 72-thousand dollars.
