A Hutchinson couple face future hearings after they allegedly killed a kitten by taking turns throwing it against doors and walls.
Hutchinson Police Detective Curtis Black says police discovered the dead kitten when they responded to the a “check on welfare” call involving a disturbance on Saturday. He says couple were upset that the kitten was using going to the bathroom inside.
Police found the dead kitten in the couple’s home Saturday while responding to a disturbance.
24-year-old Bradlee Ellis made a brief appearance on the charge Monday while 20-year-old Emileigh Martens had earlier posted bond and should make an appearance later this week. Both apparently live at the same address. Ellis was also arrested for domestic battery.
Black says a necropsy was to be performed on the kitty.
