The Hutchinson Human Relations Commission has announced a series of public forums to seek the communities input regarding the proposed addition of sexual orientation and gender identity protections to the local human relations code. This is being pushed by members of the Kansas Equality Coalition.

The forums will be at Memorial Hall, 101 South Walnut on Tuesday, March 27th from 6:30 – 8:30 p-m.

Then again on Thursday, March 29th from 3:00 – 5:00 p-m, and finally on Saturday, March 31st from 1:00 – 3:00 p-m.

Doors will open 30-minutes before each forum to allow audience members to sign up to speak.

Salina is considering a similar measure in their community.
