It continues to be a waiting game for a 35-year-old Hutchinson man arrested twice for alleged drug sales and a third time for indirect contempt.

Jason Hadley had been scheduled for a status a week ago, but his attorney Charlie O’Hara asked for a continuance because of a scheduling conflict. So, Judge Tim Chambers rescheduled the hearing for 8:15 a-m, Friday morning. Now, the defense attorney asked for another 2-weeks claiming he’s still in plea negotiations with the state, but wasn’t able to speak with Deputy District Attorney Tom Stanton about any offers. So now, it will be February 15, before we’ll know how these cases will proceed.

Hadley faces two counts for the sale of methamphetamine, and one count for simple possession of meth, allegedly less then a gram each time. He’s also charged with three counts of unlawful use of a communications facility, namely a telephone to arrange a drug transaction and no tax stamp for the drugs. A charge of intimidation of witness is a misdemeanor offense and the defense had requested a jury trial for that charge as well.

Again, February 15 is the latest date for the hearing determine where these cases are headed, but stay tuned.
