Hutch Man Bound Over In One Of Several Cases

Christopher Ford 3

The preliminary hearing for a 26-year-old Hutchinson man over four cases which was continued last month because of a change of lawyers was held this morning in front of Judge Joe McCarville, well at least for one of the cases.

Christopher Ford was arrested back in February for being in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, but was also at a home where he had been ordered not to go to, resulting in a charge of criminal trespass. This occurring in the 500 block of East 9th. He was bound over for trial in that case.

He was also arrested on two warrants for two cases going back to January. One charges him with interference with law enforcement and flee and elude when he ran from a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy. That was on January 7.

Other charges include criminal possession of firearm and leaving the scene of an accident on January 15. The criminal possession of firearm charge is because it’s illegal for him to have a weapon because of previous felony convictions.

He’s been on community corrections for a charge of theft from 1994, possession of drugs from 2009, and a burglary case from 2010.

The hearing in the other cases have been continued a week.
