A 31-year-old Hutchinson man is free on bond after he was arrested on drug charges on Saturday after he was apparently involved in an accident in the unit block of East 4 th.

Damon Hunter faces potential charges of being in possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also faces some traffic charges including driving while revoked, an habitual violator, leaving the scene of an injury accident, failing to report an injury accident and no proof of insurance.

He’s accused of leaving the scene of the accident with 22-year-old Melissa McKibben of Hutchinson. The accident occurring just after 1 a-m on Saturday morning.

Hunter has been in trouble before when he was convicted of drug charges, disorderly conduct, and battery-domestic violence. He was given Community Corrections which he completed back in January.

Since he is free on bond, he should make a first appearance on the charges at a later date.
