Hutch Man Busted Over Failing To Register

A 31-year-old man convicted of a number of drug charges going back to 2002 including manufacturing charges is facing more trouble with the law.

Apparently Thad McCrory failed to register as a drug offender on two occasions, actually one is for not reporting a change in employment, and the other for failing to register at the end of the last quarter, both required by law.

Law Enforcement Officers went to arrest him on Wednesday on a warrant, and they spotted him in the 1500 block of East 11th. They told him he was under arrest and why. He then allegedly broke his own sunglasses and jumped over a car door and ran from the officers. He was finally apprehended in the 1500 block of East 9th.

In court, he admitted that he failed to register his change in employment, saying he missed it by one day.

Charges include two counts of failing to register and aggravated escape from custody.

The bond had been set at 50-thousand dollars, but in court, Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen reduced it to 20-thousand.
