While 24-year-old Toby Hippen now awaits a possible trial for aggravated battery in association with the alleged abuse of 2-year-old child, and his sister awaits trial for the death of a 2-month old child, the father of that child also faces a possible trial in a separate case.

Oscar Perez is facing a possible trial for aggravated battery. He’s accused of battering David Boshart during an altercation back on May 29. He entered a not guilty plea to the charge on Monday in front of Judge Tim Chambers.

He was arrested on the warrant in this case around the same time that Toby Hippen was arrested on his case.

Perez was also present the night when the child he and Brigit Hippen had together died after she had allegedly placed a hair dryer near their 2-month old child and the child died from hyperthermia.

He remains jailed on a 6-thousand dollar bond.
