A 24-year-old man who entered a plea for causing severe injuries to a 2-year-old child was granted 24-months community corrections Friday on two counts of aggravated battery, and one count of aggravated endangerment of a child.
Toby Hippen plead to charges for injuring the child who was taken to a Wichita hospital and was reportedly paralyzed on the left side.
Police had been dispatched to 910 E Sherman back on July 18, 2011 on the report of a medical condition where a child had been badly injured. The child was first taken to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, and later transported to Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Hippen, again granted community corrections.
