HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 33-year-old man who became angry last week over bond in a domestic case has been formally charged.

Gregory Mack has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, violation of a protection from abuse order and reckless driving.

The case started at JC Penney where Mack and the victim apparently got into an altercation and the victim left, traveling west on 11th. Mack apparently followed where both were traveling at a high rate of speed.

He’s alleged to have also caused damage to the victim’s car and was apprehended in the unit block of East 11th.

Police reports indicate that they spotted some handgun rounds in the vehicle and later found the marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The state alleges that he put the victim in reasonable apprehension of immediate bodily harm with the deadly weapon, that being his car.

His case will now move to a waiver-status docket.
