Hutch man formally charged in drug distribution case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 28-year-old Inman man who was arrested in Hutchinson on drug-related charges has been formally charged.

Richard Manwarren II is now charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia with intent to sell and possession of Hydrocodone.

He allegedly had 8 grams of meth, a digital scale, as well as the Hydrocodone.

The arrest occurred in the 1200 block of South K-61 back on Feb. 17.

Manwarren has prior convictions, including two convictions for aggravated battery, two convictions for violation of a protection from abuse order, aggravated intimidation of a witness, or victim, and burglary. He had been discharged from the Kansas Department of Corrections on May 1.

With the charges filed, the case will be placed on a waiver-status docket on Aug. 10. He remains jailed on a $15,000 bond.
