A 35-year-old Hutchinson man arrested back on July 10 after a search warrant was served on his home was in court Monday morning for the formal reading of charges.

Jacob Maxwell is now charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell within a 1,000 feet of a school facility, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute meth, no tax stamp and possession of stolen property, in this case a Motorola walkie-talkie which allegedly belongs to Reno County E-M-S. All of this located in his bedroom.

The drug unit searched his home and allegedly found 2.81-grams of meth, 23.77-grams of cutting residue and Ziplock bags.

He’s free on a 29-thousand dollar bond and the case will now be transferred to a future waiver-status docket.
