HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A local man awaiting sentencing for a non residential burglary was before Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen for a charge of theft by deception.

Nathan McConnell is charged with receiving medical services between $1,500 and $25,000 by either false statements of misrepresentation at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The alleged crime occurring on July 28, 2016.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson says he used someone’s else’s name to receive medical treatment resulting in a cost in the thousands of dollars in services to the hospital.

He’s awaiting sentencing for the burglary conviction which is scheduled for Dec. 2 in front of Judge Joe McCarville.
