McPHERSON COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford passenger car driven by Olivia Y. Kliewer, 21, Hillsboro, was southbound on Kansas 61 just south of Arapaho Road.

The vehicle rear-ended a 1996 Ford pickup driven by Walter T. Wenner, 68, Hutchinson.

Kliewer and Wenner were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
