One man was taken to a local hospital after a one vehicle accident Saturday east of Hutchinson

According to sheriff officials, just before noon, they were dispatched to the 3200 block of East 4th on the report of the one vehicle injury accident.

The driver 50-year-old Michael Allen Satterfield of Hutchinson was driving a blue 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and apparently blacked out and left the roadway. His vehicle struck 1 tree head on at about 45 m-p-h, before coming to rest against a 2nd tree.

He was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was taken by Reno County E-M-S to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
