A 35-year-old Hutchinson man who served time for meth manufacture and arrested Tuesday for being in possession of a precursor for the manufacture of drugs and failing to register as a drug offender can now add manufacturing charges to the list.

Matthew Foulk is now jailed on a bond of 150-thousand dollars on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of lithium, possession of anhydrous ammonia, and possession of ephedrine all with intent to manufacture meth.

As we have been telling you, the Reno County Drug Unit served a search warrant on a home on North Herren Road in the county on Tuesday. This after he has been stopped by a Reno County Sheriff Deputy for an expired tag. During that stop, he allegedly threw out a blue bag from his car into an old car wash drain. The bag was found and allegedly contained a zip-lock bag of white pills later identified as ephedrine.

They then did the search of the home on Herren and found another floor mat that matched the one in his vehicle. They also allegedly found peeled lithium batteries, Coleman fuel containers, empty starting fluid cans, acids, salts and numerous empty plastic containers and pitchers. There was also a grunge substance and a propane tank which allegedly contained the ammonia.

Allegedly under Miranda, Foulk allegedly admitted to manufacturing and was taken to jail. His bond was increased from the initial 26-thousand dollars to 150-thousand after he made a first appearance on the charges Wednesday morning.

He is expected back in court no later then September 19, for a status hearing. However, the state could file formal charges much sooner.

Foulk has served time for meth manufacturing charges in Reno County in 2003 and 2004, and a flee and elude case in Harvey County from 1999.
