A 31-year-old Hutchinson man was in court Friday for a first appearance with three different arrest reports from three different agencies.

Alonzo Moore was arrested after a high speed pursuit that started with a South Hutchinson Officer observing Moore allegedly driving a stolen vehicle from Hutchinson, that being a KIA Rio. He allegedly led officers on a chase around the city of South Hutchinson, then eventually, a Reno County Sheriff’s Deputy became involved and the chase eventually went into Hutchinson where they stopped the chase because of the amount of traffic. He was located however at Hutchinson Middle School 8.

At one point, it was a bit scary for a family in South Hutchinson. Moore allegedly accelerated toward the family. South Hutchinson Police Officer Kevin Dorritie said he turn on his lights and siren on to warn the family who were standing on a corner.

Charges against Moore include theft of a motor vehicle, auto burglary, theft, and criminal damage, filed through the Hutchinson Police Department. South Hutch Police arrested him for aggravated assault, and the Reno County Sheriff’s Office arrested him for felony flee and elude.

All this occurring during evening drive time, around 5 p-m, on Thursday.

In court Friday, Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen actually increased the bond from 12-thousand, 350-dollars, to 20-thousand, and set a status hearing in the case for next Wednesday.
