Hutch man now faces 2 distribution cases

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A local man was in court Wednesday morning for a new arrest, but also the reading of charges in a second case.

Brian Patrick McNaughton faces two counts involving the distribution of marijuana as well as numerous other drug-related charges.

Law enforcement showed up at his home Tuesday to serve a warrant and immediately discovered marijuana and marijuana wax, as well as 100 paraphernalia items including pipes, bongs, and a working scale.

According to the police affidavit read in court by Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen, he told officers he sells marijuana to support his use of the drug to avoid being on pain pills.

The first case goes back to April 6.

Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen set his bond at $36,500.
