A 23-year-old Hutchinson man was sentenced to 64-months in prison this morning on numerous charges from two cases.

Justin Walker was convicted of numerous felony and misdemeanor counts and some were run concurrent to each other, while three ran consecutive. The controlling sentence was possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and Judge Tim Chambers gave him 44-months. He alse sentenced Walker to 8-months for criminal possession of a firearm and 12-months for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. All of the other 9-counts ran concurrent to the 64-month sentence.

The case started when 46-year-old Vicki Anderson contacted police saying that Walker had threatened her with a handgun at 1215 East 4th.

He was spotted a short time later in the 1700 block of East 4th. When police tried to stop him, he along with another man, Michael Carter of McPherson fled the vehicle while it was still moving. Both were captured a short time later after a brief foot chase. The vehicle came to a rest after crashing into a fence.

He was also involved in another case where he allegedly had methamphetamine in a sellers quantity, marijuana and paraphernalia to distribute and also for personal use.

Walker has served time in prison for theft, felony flee and elude, and criminal damage to property in a case going back to 2009.
