HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 26-year-old Hutchinson man arrested back in June on drug related charges still managed to get community corrections in two cases from earlier this year.

In one case, Tyler McClanahan was charged with possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, criminal damage and criminal trespass. These crimes ocurred on Dec. 23, 2015.

The other case occurred on April 1, 2016. Charges included possession of methamphetamine, possession of Diazepam and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Trish Rose sentenced him to two years, eight months in each case, then ran them concurrent to each other and granted McClanahan a years and six months on Community Corrections.

He is still waiting a preliminary hearing where he faces charges of being in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, no tax stamp and personal use drug paraphernalia.

The arrest coming back on June 16 in the 600 block of East 1st.

Police alleged they found a black case with a clear glass pipe containing meth residue, a bag of marijuana with three smaller bags also containing the drug, plus additional bags. Total weight of around 42-grams.
