A 34-year-old Hutchinson man with two cases was arrested around 11:20 p-m Wednesday night after he apparently threatened to blow up a local nightclub.

It happened at Clic’s Bar at 117 East 2nd, when Marcos Gutierrez was apparently on a bicycle and was extremely intoxicated. He allegedly started yelling at patrons that he was a terrorist and threatening to blow the place up.

Police finally caught up with him in the 200 block of North Elm. He then allegedly became belligerent using cuss words with police while they tried to arrest him for criminal threat. They then also charged him with disorderly conduct, interference with law enforcement and public intoxication.

He made a first appearance on the charges Thursday morning where he failed to convince Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen to lower his 54-hundred dollar bond. That was for the felony. He also has another 2-thousand dollar bond for misdemeanor charges.

He was also scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday morning in front of Judge Joe McCarville for a felony theft charge where he is accused of stealing a 1998 Ford Explorer back on January 14. That was continued because of the new arrest.

In a third case, he’s accused auto burglary and theft for breaking into vehicle on July 25. That case is also pending.

He will be back in court next Wednesday on the new arrest. That will give the state time to file formal charges.

Gutierrez was also advised of criminal trespass at the nightclub.
