
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Vicki Caywood, CPA, Senior Compliance Analyst at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, is a finalist for the Health Care Worker of the Year Award, a prestigious designation bestowed annually by the Kansas Hospital Association (KHA).
Caywood joined Hutchinson Hospital in 1990 as an Assistant Controller and advanced through several positions before being named Senior Compliance Analyst earlier this year.
Caywood is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Kansas University where she earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
“I enjoy the complexities of the healthcare system and am pleased to work at the hospital that provides care to my friends and family,” Caywood said. “My greatest satisfaction in this position is assisting other employees do their job well.”
The Healthcare Worker of the Year Award is presented yearly to a hospital employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty and has made a significant contribution to the betterment of the healthcare facility where they are employed.
Caywood was nominated for the award by Cassie Dolen, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), for Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System.
“Vicki pours her heart and soul into the position she holds and leads by example, representing the healthcare system’s core values: integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence,” Dolen said “She puts forth her best in everything she does and is the go to person in our organization.”
“Besides Vicki’s vast knowledge, her ability to build bridges and remove silos has been a significant contribution to Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System,” Dolen continued.
Ken Johnson, President and CEO of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, said it is noteworthy that the state’s top healthcare advocate organization (KHA) has taken note of Vicki’s many accomplishments.
“Passionate healthcare professional are three words that best describe Vicki Caywood and we feel so fortunate to have her as a part of our organization,” Johnson said.
