HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A local woman arrested on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties with a child was in court Wednesday where she entered a plea in the case to a lessor charge.

Britney Becker who was accused of lewd fondling or touching of a 13-year-old boy entered a “no contest” plea to aggravated indecent solicitation. The charge is a level five person felony with a maximum sentence of 11-years and four months.

Hutchinson Police Detective Scott Carlton says she knew the victim, was apparently friends with the family and that the encounters occurred twice in early November of 2015.

The boy apparently told his parents about the touching and they in turn called police, leading to the arrest.

Becker is free on bond and sentencing will be on Oct, 14, in front of Judge Trish Rose.
