The woman arrested with Justin Gleason after a shooting incident in southeast Hutchinson was in court Friday for a first appearance on the charges against her. But, the state has also filed the formal charges in the case, so Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen also read the formal complaint.

22-year-old Holly Caudillo of 3202 North Waldron is now charged with aggravated battery, and 7-counts of criminal discharge of a firearm.

She just now made an appearance in the case because she was able to post a 45-thousand bond shortly after her arrest.

She along with 31-year-old Justin Gleason are both charged in the case after the apparent shooting at a home at 1105 East Avenue C.

Police say they found multiple bullet holes on the north side of the home. A short time later, one of the alleged victims in the case, Daniel Coronado arrived at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his foot. He underwent surgery for that injury.

Further investigation revealed five adults and two children where in the residence when the shooting occurred. There were no other reported injuries.

Gleason also faces charges of aggravated battery, and 7-counts of criminal discharge of a firearm, and criminal possession of a firearm. They also did a search of his home leading to charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession or marijuana, an additional count of criminal possession of a firearm, no tax stamp, possession of stolen property, in this case, a PlayStation II, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He’s already facing charges of attempted robbery, attempted aggravated burglary, criminal threat and blackmail, where he allegedly sent text messages to the victim and told him he better have the money, and was coming over to collect. Senior Assistant District Attorney Steve Maxwell alleges he was extorting money from the victim over crack cocaine. That case is still pending.

Both should be back in court in the near future on these charges.
