A 24-year-old Hutchinson woman charged with several felonies after an incident back on June 1, was in court Friday for arraignment in her case where she entered a “not guilty” plea.
24-year-old Kayla Elizabeth Salyer-Rodriquez now faces trial on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated kidnapping, two counts of criminal threat and aggravated assault.
She allegedly put a gun to another woman’s head and forced her into an apartment at 32 nd Terrace and Garden Grove Parkway. The victim was finally able to escape after saying she would go see where the police are. She had apparently called 911 several times. But, she also alleges she was struck in the head with the handle of the gun as well.
Salyer-Rodriquez and her father Paul Salyer eventually came out of the apartment without incident with police waiting.
Salyer-Rodriquez was the intended victim of Charles Christopher Logsdon and Billy Craig Jr., but they allegedly killed Jennifer Heckel by mistake.
