HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Hutchinson Community College’s Sophomore defensive tackle Latrell Bankston committed to Iowa State as reported on twitter and confirmed with Bankston on Thursday.  Bankston had a very productive Sophomore season and was recently named KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year.

Bankston had  19 unassisted tackels, 45 assisted tackles averaging 5.6 per game.  11 sacks for 64 yard, and 20.5 tackles for loss on the year.

Bankston and the No. 3 ranked Blue Dragons still have one more game to play in 2019 and will match up in the Salt City Bowl on December 7th vs #18 Monroe College out of New Rochelle, NY.
