HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees will seek approval for the issuance of bonds that will be used to expand the student center.

The $5 million project includes expanding the dining and kitchen area, remodeling the basement recreation and meeting areas, and making overall needed improvements.

Also Thursday, the board will go over the first reading of the revised graduation requirements for students. Under the proposal, the hours needed to graduate in an Associate of Arts or Science degree would fall from 64 to 60 hours.

It would also change some of the class requirements for students.

The regular meeting for the Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees begins at 7 p.m. at the Shears Technology Center on the HutchCC campus.
