CONCORDIA, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College rose over Cloud County Community College in Wednesday night’s game by a 60-49 win.

After almost two minutes a tied game, Hutchinson’s Makayla Johnson swished two free throws to end the first quarter with a Blue Dragon lead of 16-14.
Johnson scored again with a turnaround jumper to give an advantage of 22-16 over Cloud County with 7:26 to play. The Blue Dragons finished the half 32-25 with the Thunderbirds trailing behind.
The third quarter quickly traveled into the fourth as Hutchinson’s Tia Bradshaw went coast to coast for a layup and gave the Blue Dragons a 46-41 lead with 7:07 left.
After the Blue Dragons build a 9-point lead for the 2nd time, Cloud County gets a three-point play and then a defensive stop. T-Birds take a timeout with 3:56 left. The Blue Dragons lead 50-44

A layup from Abby Ogle and a free throw from Makayla Vannett brought the Blue Dragons their win of 60-49 against the Thunderbirds.
The Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons (12-0, 5-0) have a break until they host their next game in the Blue Dragon Holiday Classic against the Iowa Western Community College Reivers at 6 p.m.
