Hutchinson High School “ACT” Scores At Or Above State Averages

ACT scores at Hutchinson High School continue to be at or above Kansas averages.

For the graduating class of 2012, 151 HHS students took the ACT test. The composite score for English, mathematics, reading and science was 22.4, compared to a state average of 21.9.

For the class of 2011, 153 students took the ACT with a composite score of 22.2, compared to a statewide average of 22.0.

By course area, HHS 2012 grads had an average English score of 21.9, compared to a state average of 21.3. HHS’ English score was up from 21.5 in 2011.

In mathematics, HHS’ score was 21.8, the same as in 2011 but down 0.1 from 2011.

In reading, HHS’ score was 22.9, compared to the state average of 22.3. HHS’ score was up from 22.6 in 2011.

In science, HHS’ score was 22.3, compared to the state average of 21.7. HHS’ score was up 0.2 from 2011.
