A 26-year-old Hutchinson man arrested after disturbance call earlier this month was in court Wednesday for the formal reading of charges against him.

Tony Gonzalez is now formally charged with aggravated assault, but also other drug related crimes including possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. An additional charge of interference with law enforcement was also added at the time of the arrest.

The case starts against when police were called to the home in the 700 block of East 7th. Matthew Nickerson reported that he had been threatened with a knife at that location. Police arrived and after the investigation, Gonzalez was arrested and taken to jail.

With the formal charges filed, the case now moves to a waiver-status docket on March 19.
