A 49-year-old Hutchinson man was arrested late Wednesday night on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery.

According to Police Lt., Thad Pickard, Juan Martinez struck one of the victims with a blunt object, but couldn’t say at this point what that object was. He also then struck a family member during the altercation at the home at 1707 East Blanchard, Lot 153 in Hutchinson. The arrest coming just before 11 p-m.

Martinez made a first appearance on the two charges and bond was left at 15-thousand dollars. He’ll be back in court next Wednesday, or whenever the state files formal charges.
