A 27-year-old Hutchinson man arrested back on April 22 nd after allegedly fleeing a Hutchinson Police Officer has been bound over for trial in three charges

Robert Leonard Hill of 2900 Acres Road, Apt. 118, is charged with aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement, felony flee and elude, and driving while suspended, alleged to be a habitual violator.

Officer Jamie Schoenhoff attempted to stop Hill who then turned into an alley, where he crashed behind a home in the 200 block of East 8th. He then allegedly ran from the vehicle, but was caught two houses down. Schoenhoff told the court Thursday that Hill then picked up a shovel and threw it at his head, but the officer was able to get out of the way. He then threw another yard ornament, a giraffe with a plant in it at the officier, but again missed. He was taken into custody shortly thereafter.

With him being bound over for trial, he will be arraigned on the charges on July 2.
