A 31-year-old Hutchinson man charged with 15-counts associated with the distribution of drugs for a case that goes back to August of last year was bound over for trial Wednesday morning after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing and then entered not guilty pleas to the charges.

Jeffrey Miller faces a possible trial on charges including possession of cocaine and marijuana, both with intent to sell within a thousand feet of Hutchinson High School, possession of a number of other drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package, and several counts of no tax stamp.

Miller was stopped by Reno County Sheriff Deputy Corey Graber at U-S 50 and Airport Road which led to the search of his vehicle where they allegedly found a Ziplock bag that contained the pot which weighed around 29-grams. They also found a Glock 26, which was confirmed stolen from Great Bend. They also allegedly found a bag with white residue that field tested positive for cocaine.

His home at 1002 North Cleveland was also searched where a jar was found according to officials that contained marijuana, a plastic bag that contained a white powder which weighed about 7-grams, several digital scales, new and used packaging materials and owe sheets.

They also found just over 12-thousand dollars in a dresser separated into four bundles. Another 2-thousand dollars was reportedly found in his girlfriends purse.

The case now goes to the court of Judge Trish Rose for a possible jury trial.
