HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 37-year-old man was arrested in the 300 block of East 1st, just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning for allegedly made criminal threats against three people made a first appearance in court Monday.
Derrick Bruton faces potential charges of three counts of criminal threat and criminal possession of a firearm. The threat coming at a residence in the 500 block of East B. Bruton was also advised of criminal trespass at that residence.
Bruton is on community corrections for possession of drugs and DUI. He has two prior convictions for DUI and illegal transportation of liquor.
Bond in the case is set at $6,000 and the bond was left the same by Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen. He’ll be back in court on Dec. 7, for the formal reading of charges.
